My name is Leatrice Taylor–Moore and my son’s name is Jalen Moore. I want everyone to know that Bobbi Goldstein is a great and wonderful person and tutor/teacher. Around 2006/2007 Jalen who was in kindergarten at the time was having trouble with reading. His father and I tried different methods to help him grasp the concept of reading, but nothing seemed to work. I had seen Bobbi’s magnetic sign on her car and asked her if she wouldn’t mind observing Jalen. I asked her to see if she could suggest some different styles or methods of teaching and she did. I was able to bring Jalen to her home, which felt inviting and warm to my son and me. When you would look at her work table the materials are totally dedicated to children. She had reading books, learning games and more.  At first I was a little nervous because I thought she was going to tell me that it be a bit more serious, perhaps a learning impairment? For an hour she tested Jalen and you could see a difference immediately.  It was amazing.  I was very happy that Jalen warmed up to Bobbi very quickly, because he is very shy when first meeting people. Jalen is a little boy who would get upset almost every day because he could not read like the other children in his class.  I also loved her professionalism, because she would always call to confirm his appointments.  I can proudly say that Bobbi worked with Jalen and now his reading is above average for his age level.  Thank you Bobbi for being such as wonderful teacher.

Bobbi worked with my son for 2½ years tutoring him in English. Bobbi worked with him on his level and made him do the work rather than she do the work for him. She was always punctual and was a good match for my son. She focused on his weaknesses turning around his attitude and belief in himself. She always made it fun for him by bringing word games for them to playas well as buying him books to read that he would be interested in. Bobbi is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about English and was always able to stretch and stimulate my son at his level of ability. I am happy to say that we no longer need her services but remain to be in contact. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to other people in the future.

Bobbi is a helpful and caring reading tutor. For the last six months she tutored my second grade son who struggled with remembering sound/spellings and had slow reading abilities. She used the tutoring time wisely by doing various activities and games. When my son would try to start talking about other things she could always refocus him back to their reading activity. Caleb is now reading faster and with more confidence. I would highly recommend Bobbi.
